Why this site? What am I hoping to achieve with it? There are a number of motivations…
1. My philosophizing is a work in progress, an ongoing exploration. My views have changed in the past and they will undoubtedly change in the future. There is a currency to them and this is a way to keep up with new thinking. I explore through writing and I can write here anytime and anywhere. This is, in this sense, a personal site for ongoing exploration.
2. As anyone else, I suppose, I feel pride in my views. I don’t mind exposing them to others, to showing off, in effect. This may sound trite, but it is what we all do in our everyday interactions, explaining how we feel, what we believe, and why. Just being human.
3. Very few people get to read my views. Those who do might just give me a bit of feedback, some thought to chew on and react to in my own thinking. Who knows what might come down the pike?
